Mayor to investigate ‘irregularity’ in CHO

ROXAS City — Mayor Angel Alan Celino will investigate the alleged falsification of official receipt committed by an employee of the City Health Office.

Celino vowed that there will be no “white-wash” in the investigation against Chona Dublado.

“Let us give her due process (for her) to answer all the alleged irregularities … She will be presumed innocent until proven otherwise,” said Celino.

The anomaly was discovered recently when a client paid Dublado P130 but the attached duplicate on the receipt stipulated only P30.

City Treasurer Lito Almodiente issued a memorandum ordering the relief of Dublado.

Dublado was also ordered to return all the receipts and other accounting forms with her.

The City Council Committee on Good Government will also help investigate the alleged irregularity. (Felipe Celino/PN)
