BY FELIPE V. CELINO

ROXAS City — Indigent residents in Sapian town have availed themselves of free legal assistance by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Capiz and the Provincial Board Committee on Social Justice and Human Rights yesterday.

Several residents consulted their legal problems to the battery of lawyers with the facilitation of Board member Remia Fuentes-Bartolome.

The free legal aid recently given to residents of Panitan town was impressive — the reason why the activity was held again in Sapian, according to Bartolome.

Among the lawyers who gave free legal assistance were Attys. Marcelo Augusto Cosgayon, Leodegario Dadivas, Orlanda Lumawag, Rochelle Gregorio, Kristina Gigawin, Christine Joy Banday and Emilyn Depon.

The group plans to continue giving free legal services in other towns of Capiz, Bartolome said.

Mayor Arturo “Turic” Orosco and his wife Dr. Evangeline Oñas–Orosco also supported the activity./PN
