Cop loses motorcycle to carnappers

ROXAS City – A policeman recently complained that he was victimized by carnappers.

According to SPO1 Nestor Morales, his Honda XRM motorcycle with plate number FB3293 went missing when he woke up yesterday morning.

Morales, 49, and a resident of Sitio Pinaypayan, Brgy. Lanot here, was the third police officer that fell victim to motorcycle robbers.

Earlier, policemen here arrested four persons for allegedly stealing motorcycles.

Supt. Kashmir Disomangcop, Roxas City police chief, identified the suspects as Kennedy Tandoy, 18; Ryan Adrigado, 20; Gerald Mendoza; 19; and Rogelio Billones, 17.

The suspects were residents of this city.

The arrest came after two of them figured in reckless driving on San Roque Street here.

Recovered from the suspects were a Honda Wave, an orange X4 Suzuki and a black Honda XRM.

The Honda Wave was registered to Alfredo Baclas III of Brgy. Dinginan while the X4 Suzuki belongs to Florencio Abalayan Jr. of Brgy. Mongpong. The owner of the Honda XRM is still unidentified.

Baclas earlier reported to the police that his motorcycle was missing.

Abalayan, on the other hand, said his motorcycle was stolen on August 15 at the Villareal Stadium in Brgy. Tiza here.

Disomangcop said the suspects have been involved in a series of carnapping incidents.
