Twin daring robbery incidents in two stores happened only in minutes in Agusan town

BUTUAN CITY (PNA) - Two daring robbery incidents involving same motorcycle-riding armed suspects who victimized two stores kilometers apart in same town took place in only a span of thirty minutes in Barangays Poblacion and Taglatawan all in Bayugan, Agusan del Sur past noon Tuesday.

 

            Bayugan, Agusan del Sur  is 49 kilometers away from here, Butuan City, Caraga region’s capital.

 

            Report from Caraga Police regional information office identified the first business establishment victimized by hold-up robbery gang that have been victimizing for a week now business establishments and traders in the region as , AGSA TRADING owned by Gina A Dangga situated at Purok 24, Barangay Poblacion, Bayugan, Agusan del Sur.

 

            Bayugan police said the three suspects riding a single red XRM motorcycle without plate number arrived at AGSA Trading store at about 12:10 p.m. Tuesday and announced a hold up. The suspects then begin to seize all money at the cashier’s drawer and speed away from the crime scene.

 

            An eyewitness who was one of the residents near said store was able to identify one of the suspects after Bayugan Police showed the witness a Criminal Gallery photos.

 

            But as the responding policemen were busy investigating at Agsa Trading, another robbery incident took place this time in Barangay Taglatawan, few kilometers away from the first robbery victim store, Agsa Trading.

 

            This time same three armed robbers also riding same single red XRM Honda motorcycle without plate number held up Balones Copra Buying Station and Store owned by Rolando C Balones situated at Purok 7-B BarangayTaglatawan, Bayugan, Agusan de Sur at around 12:40 p.m. same day.

 

            Rolando C Balones, owner of said business establishment, told police probers from nowhere arrived in his copra buying station and announced a hold up.

 

            The suspects then ordered Balones to easily hand over the cash money at his drawer amounting to P80,000 who is intended for buying copra in that afternoon.

 

            Bayugan police said they again sent responding team to the Balones Copra Buying Station this time headed by Bayugan Chief of Police by Police Chief Inspector WARREN E. DABLO.

 

The first police team who responded at Agsa Trading was headed by Bayugan Municipal Police Office Investigation Chief SPO1 Rodrigo Coton.

 

Initial investigation revealed that the suspects fit the description of the perpetrators  who robbed earlier just more than 20 minutes had past, AGSA TRADING  located in the same municipality.

 

Bayugan Municpal Police Station said they are still conducting thorough investigation to identify the two other suspects and their possible arrest.

 

The one who was identified at the Agsa Trading robbery by a resident eyewitness living near said business establishment was reportedly the driver of the getaway single motorcycle.

 

The witness claimed the suspect who was at Bayugan PNP rogue gallery  was very familiar to him and living also in Bayugan town.

 

Bayugan was one of the 16 cities in the country declared be back to town status by Supreme Court after League of Cities of the Philippines filed petition before the High Court questioning legality in declaring said 16 towns to status of city. (PNA/Ben Serrano)
