15 International Peace students injured in Agusan del Sur road mishap

            TRENTO, Agusan del Sur (PNA) - At least 15 students from the International Peace Leadership College heading towards Davao City were injured when their vehicle swerved in a slippery road and hit the road pavemnet on Wednesday afternoon along national highway in Purok 5, Barangay Malihog, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur, police said.

 

            Bunawan Municipal Police office identified those who were injured as; Aime Barrete, Lea Mae Ortiz, Joy delos Santos, Charizza Mae Collado, Mary-ann Marcelino, Glorifel Alvizo, Sally Jordin; Wilda June Abucayan, Rosemarie Helen, Zyrine Mago, Myril Jane Genavia, Mary Jorie  Albollente,  Sisame Fuentes, Dorlyn Sayne Dawa and Mary Joy Lavenia.

 

            Said police report claimed the vehicle a white Nissan Urban Van bearing plate number NKO 776 suddenly swerved then bumped into road pavement while travelling along national highway in said area going to Davao City due slippery, wet road

 

          The van driven by Allan Baradillo Rosit, married and a resident of 32 Samar Avenue, Quezon City was loaded with twenty (20) students  from International Peace Leadership College when it meet the accident.

 

Same report claimed, personnel of Bunawan Municipal Station headed by its town police chief PSI GAUVIN T GUNZON went to the scene and provided assistance to the victims.

 

Injured victims were brought to Bunawan District Hospital for medical treatment. Bunawan Police said they are still conducting investigation of the incident.


Earlier, Caraga Police Regional Director Chief Supt. Reynaldo S. Rafal ordered 24/7 monitoring in the road to provide safety on tourists and motorists going home, some in vacation for the Lenten Season. (PNA/Ben Serrano)
