Police in wide manhunt vs. Surigao robbery suspect who mauled storeowner’s 60 years old Ma

            SURIGAO CITY (PNA) - An Otto Shoe Store stockman turned robbery suspect is now the subject of a wide police manhunt operations by Surigao City Police after he was implicated in robbing the store he worked with after mauling the 30 years old mother of the storeowner.

 

            Surigao City Police identified the suspect as Johnny Gueral Congayo, Otto Shoe Branch stockman, single and a resident of Payawan 1, Barangay. Luna, Surigao Cityl

 

            Initial police investigation report revealed that Congayo allegedly mauled Delia Apuyo Trilles, 60, mother of the storeowner before taking the keys of the store and cash money amounting to P39,000.00 more or less, police said.

 

            Trilles who is a resident of Lot, 14, Canlanipa Homes, Barangay Canlanipa, Surigao City suffered bruises and injuries including contusions at the different parts of her body and is now undergoing medical treatment at the Caraga Regional Hospital. Trilles told police probers at her hospital bed that it was

 

            Criminal charges against Congayo were already filed before City Prosecutor’s Office here.

 

            It was storeowner Grace Sabado who informed the police morning of November 14, about 7:40 a.m. that her Otto Shoe Store located at the Surigao del Norte Provincial Grandstand at Rizal Street, Barangay Washington this city was being robbed by her own employee.

 

            Sabado is now conducting inventory of the store’s stocks for alleged possible loss, Police said. The store is one of the most sought after by upper class consumers since the city has no huge malls yet but only bazaars. (PNA/Ben Serrano)
