LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “…Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God…” (Philippians 4:6, the Holy Bible).

CHARTER CHANGE MUST REMOVE ANTI-BIBLE PROVISIONS: I agree with ex-Chief Justice Reynato Puno and Eastern Samar Rep. Ben Evardone that the 1987 Constitution should be changed now, but for an entirely different reason: Charter change is necessary to remove its present provisions that contradict God’s commands in the Bible, like its articles on “people power”, which have been giving Filipinos difficult lives.

MM LADY COUNCILOR WHOOPING IT UP: Who is this Metro Manila lady councilor who, when attending sessions and going shopping in malls, sports pure gold watches, wears signature shoes and dresses, flaunts expensive jewelries, with burly bodyguards in tow?  The councilor does not have any visible source of great income so, how is she able to support this expensive lifestyle?

WEATHER BUREAU MUST ASK FILIPINOS TO GO BACK TO GOD TO FIGHT CALAMITIES: Aside from issuing forecasts that the La Nina phenomenon will continue to batter the Philippines’ eastern regions until March 2011, the weather bureau must endeavor to entice every Filipino to do the only known remedies against rains, floods and strong winds: read the Bible once again, and obey God once again, as Jesus Christ said in Matthew 7:24-27 of the Bible.

THE TRUTH IN THE MAGSAYSAY-PAL INCIDENT: Rep. Eulogio Magsaysay of the Alliance of Volunteer Educators (AVE) should rethink his accusation that a lady-employee of the Philippine Air Lines first displayed rude conduct towards him, prompting him to be rude towards her likewise. PAL employees always try to be nice to its customers, as a matter of company policy, except when passengers become too demanding, for one reason or another.

COULD EX-OMBUDSMAN AND DEPUTY COMMIT BLUNDERS IN GARCIA CASE? Former Ombudsman Simeon Marcelo and his former deputy, Dennis Villa Ignacio, must immediately answer claims that the criminal complaint for plunder they filed with the Sandiganbayan against former AFP comptroller Maj. Gen. Carlos Garcia was defective and could in fact lead to his acquittal, as Special Prosecutor Jesus Micael bared before mediamen the other day.

The question is: could veteran lawyers like Marcelo and Villa-Ignacio really commit grave legal blunders in the discharge of their duties as prosecutors which could result in what is called in boxing bouts as “technical knock-out” in a multi-million peso graft case? Wow!

DISBAND AND REPLACE PNP: If the Philippine National Police cannot effectively respond to hostage situations with its present officers and men, especially its elite SWAT (Special Weapons and Assault Teams) personnel, it must now abolish and disband itself, to give way for a better police organization.

The proposal to create yet another police team to handle hostage situations only means  the present PNP is ineffective, inutile, and is only wasting the people’s money. Better to abolish it and replace it with something more effective.

(Filipos 4:6, Bibliya).

                    -ooo-

CHARTER CHANGE KAILANGAN NA: Sang-ayon ako kina dating Chief Justice Reynato Puno at Eastern Samar Rep.
