DOES MALACANANG WANT BABY GIRLS TO ENGAGE IN ABORTION? For as long as the Office of the President supports the controversial Reproductive Health Bill, Malacanang must expect strong language from the Catholic bishops who are expected to oppose the proposed law. 

The reason is that the bill allows abortion to be resorted to, even by a girl of 10 years of age or lower, with her parents unable to contravene her decision and, surely, this is something that men of the cloth or men of God must fight, even with colorful words, at all cost.

Malacanang should know this, and should be prepared for it. By the way, can Palace spokesmen tell us why are they supporting a bill that would allow even little girls to get pregnant and then kill the babies in their womb? This is outrageous, and when that bill becomes a law, it will surely bring more curses to the Philippines.

DISPUTE ON ROXAS HURTING PNOY: I suggest that all parties to the controversy on the appointment of defeated Liberal Party vice presidential candidate Mar Roxas should stop all bickerings over his entry to the Aquino government---the dispute is hurting neither Roxas nor the Cabinet.

It is hurting no one else but President Aquino who is pictured as being too much concerned with repaying political debts, or as someone whose leadership style cannot handle a Roxas and an Ochoa under his government. Either way, the Chief Executive is being painted as someone without leadership, and this is unfair to him.

REWARD MONEY PROOF OF INCOMPETENCE? Oh come on, Chairman Francis Tolentino of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA)! Has the MMDA and the Philippine National Police become so inutile that a P100,000.00 reward has to be put up just so the driver of the bus that killed veteran journalist Lourdes “Chit” Estella Simbulan could be arrested? 

Is there no one from the MMDA and the police with sufficient investigative skills who can track down the driver without that reward, just like what police sleuths of old did before? What is this---government and police officials reaching their level of incompetence, or there is simply no one who is competent at all?

PUTTING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD: When troubles come our way---and they often do, almost everyday---there is no need to despair and subject ourselves to defeat. What we must endeavor to do is to clothe ourselves with the “armor” of God, and come out victorious.

But what do we mean with the word “armor” of God? In Ephesians 6:14-17, as written above, the Bible says the armor of God are truth, righteousness, readiness to preach the Gospel, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. I guess we should try to have them as much as we can.

Malacanang, nais ng abortion sa mga dalaginding?

INSPIRASYON SA BUHAY: “…Magpakatatag kayo sa sinturon ng katarungan… sa kalasag ng pagiging matuwid… at sa kahandaan sa pagpapakalat ng Mabuting Balita ng Kapayapaan. Idagdag din ninyo ang pananampalataya… ang proteksiyon ng kaligtasan, at ang tabak ng Espiritu, o ang Salita ng Diyos…” (Efeso 6:14-17, Bibliya).

GUSTO BA NG MALACANANG NG ABORTION PARA SA MGA BATANG BABAE? Habang sinusuportahan ng Office of the President ang kontrobersiyal na Reproductive Health Bill, dapat asahan na nito ang matatapang na salita mula sa mga obispo ng Simbahang Katoliko na tunay namang tumututol ng totohanan sa panukalang batas na ito.

Ang dahilan ng kanilang pagtutol ay ito: pinapayagan ng nasabing panukalang batas ang pagpapalaglag o abortion maging ng mga batang babaeng sampung taong gulang pa lamang, ng hindi pupuwedeng tutulan naman ng sarili nilang mga magulang, at ito ay isang bagay na lalabanan talaga ng mga manggagawa ng Diyos.

Dapat alam ng Malacanang ito, at dapat handa ito sa mga pagbatikos mula sa kaparian. Pero, sandali lang: puwede bang liwanagin ng mga tagapagsalita ng Palasyo kung bakit suportado nila ang batas na pumapayag sa mga batang babae na mabuntis at pagkatapos ay kumitil ng sanggol sa kanilang mga sinapupunan? Grabe ito, at siguradong magdadala ng mas maraming malas sa Pilipinas

GUSOT KAY ROXAS, NAKAKASIRA KAY PNOY: Ipinapanukala kong tigilan na ang bangayan sa kontrobersiya sa pagluluklok sa natalong Liberal Party vice presidential candidate Mar Roxas sa gobyernong Aquino---kasi, ang gusot ukol dito ay sumisira hindi kay Roxas o sa Gabinete.

Ang nasisira sa lahat ng ito ay ang Pangulong Aquino, na napapalitaw na masyadong interesadong mabayaran ang kanyang pagkakataon sa pulitika, o isa siyang lider na hindi kayang lutasin ang gulo sa pagkakaroon ng Roxas o Ochoa sa kaniyang gobyerno. Alinman dito, parang lumalabas na walang kakayahan bilang lider ang Pangulo, at hindi naman ito  tama para sa kanya.

REWARD MONEY, KATIBAYAN NG PAGIGING INUTIL? Ano ba naman yan, Chairman Francis Tolentino ng Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA)! Naging inutil na ba ng tuluyan ang MMDA at ang Philippine National Police at kailangan pa nitong magbigay ng pabuyang P100,000 para lamang maaresto ang drayber ng bus na pumatay kay Lourdes “Chit” Estella Simbulan? 

Wala man lamang ba sa MMDA at sa kapulisan na may sapat na kakayahan sa pag-iimbestiga na makakahuli sa drayber na ito kahit walang pabuya, gaya ng mga ginagawa noon ng mga magagaling na imbestigador? Ano ito---naaabot na ng mga nasa gobyerno at sa PNP ang pagiging inutil, o talagang wala man lamang mahusay ni isa sa kanila?

KALASAG NG DIYOS: Kung dumadating ang mga problema sa ating buhay---madalas nangyayari ito sa marami, halos araw-araw---hindi natin kailangang maging desperado at ipagpaubaya ang ating mga sarili sa pagkatalo. Ang kailangan lamang natin ay magsuot ng “kalasag” ng Diyos upang siguraduhin ang ating tagumpay.

Pero ano ba ang ibig sabihin ng “kalasag” ng Diyos? Sa Efeso 6:14-17 na nakasulat na sa itaas, sinasabi ng Bibliya na ang kalasag ng Diyos ay ang katotohanan, pagka-matuwid, kahandaan sa pagpapalaganap ng Mabuting Balita, pananampalataya, kaligtasan at Salita ng Diyos. Ito ang ating dapat ibalot sa sarili sa lahat ng sandali.
