PAG-ASA’S BAD NEWS ON RAINS, FLOODS: PAG-ASA (or the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration), has bad news for all of us: there will be more severe rains between now until the first quarter of 2012 because of La Nina. This would mean more flooding and, therefore, more death and destruction for many Filipinos. 

It may be purely coincidental, but then, this is what Jesus Christ, our God and Savior, predicted in Matthew 7:24-27 of the Bible. To believers of Jesus as God and Savior, the only way to fight these calamities is through the way He has prescribed: read the Bible and obey Him at all times.

SPIRITUAL REMEDY VS. RAINS, FLOODS: All the other scientific remedies have been tried worldwide, but nothing ever succeeded in either stopping the rains, floods and winds, or the death and destruction brought by them. This time, let us try the spiritual remedy: let us read the Bible daily, meditate on it day and night, and then follow it everyday.

EGYPT RIOTS, ONE SIGN OF THE END TIMES: One more of the signs of the end times, as Jesus disclosed in Matthew 24 of the Bible? I mean, the news that riots are once again erupting in Egypt, occasioned by attacks against Christians in the region, with the latest violence killing 19 and injuring scores of others. Jesus said His believers will be hated and attacked during the last days.

SO, WHO IS INEFFICIENT & INCOMPETENT? Former Economic Planning Secretary Solita “Winnie” Monsod may have been misquoted, but it is a cause for grave alarm that she said that the reasons why the Aquino government’s public-private-partnership flagship programs had not been at the very least moving are “inefficiency and incompetence”. So, who is inefficient and incompetent, Professor Winnie?

CONDOLENCES: We condole with the family of Gregorio “Ka Roger” Rosal, who died of a heart attack on June 22, 2011 yet. Ka Roger, the spokesman of the Communist Party of the Philippines, was gracious enough to have granted interviews with me while I was still a host of a TV station several years back, and I can confirm that he was an intellectual giant in his organization.

CAGAYAN DE ORO MURDER & POLICE BRUTALITY: While Cagayan De Oro City must grieve for the death of its Police Officer 3 Marvin Nallano, it is not enough to file murder charges against the confessed killer, inmate Eduardo Ayento. Any investigation of the incident must also look into Ayento’s claim that he killed Nallano because of police brutality---the police officer allegedly first assaulted Ayento with a rattan stick on the head.

INSPIRASYON SA BUHAY: “… `Ang Panginoon ninyong Diyos ang dapat ninyong sundin, at siya lamang ang inyong dapat sambahin. Sundin ninyo ang kanyang mga utos; paglingkuran ninyo siya, at maging tapat kayo sa kanya’…” (Deuteronomio 13:4 ng Bibliya).

MASAMANG BALITA MULA SA PAG-ASA: May masamang balita para sa ating lahat ang PAG-ASA (o ang Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration): mas maraming bagyo ang daranasin natin simula ngayon hanggang unang tatlong buwan ng 2012 dahil sa La Nina. Ibig sabihin nito, mas maraming baha ang darating, at mas maraming mamamatay at mapipinsalang Pilipino.

Maaaring pinagtiyap lamang, pero ito mismo ang sinabi ni Jesus, ang ating Diyos at Tagapagligtas, sa Mateo 7:24-27 ng Bibliya. Sa mga naniniwala kay Jesus bilang Diyos at Tagapagligtas, ang tanging paraan upang labanan ang mga kalamidad na ito ay sa pamamagitan ng paraang itinuro Niya: magbasa ng Bibliya at sundin Siya sa lahat ng sandali.

REMEDYONG ESPIRITUWAL VS. ULAN, BAHA: Ang lahat na ng remedyo mula sa siyensiya ay sinubukan na, pero wala namang nagtagumpay sa mga ito upang patigilin ang mga ulan, baha at malakas na hangin, o ang kamatayan at kapinsalaang dulot nila. Sa ngayon, subukan naman natin ang remedyong espirituwal: basahin natin ang Bibliya, pagbulay-bulayan natin ito araw at gabi, at sundin natin ang mga nakasaad doon araw-araw.

Ito ang dahilan kung bakit nagtayo tayo ng isang pambansang kilusan para sa pagbabasa ng Bibliya araw-araw, at panalangin sa lahat ng sandali, at ang sinumang nais sumama ay maaaring tumawag sa 0922 833 43 96 o mag-email sa akin sa batasmauricio@yahoo.com.

EGYPT RIOTS, ISA PANG TANDA NG WAKAS: Isa pang tanda sa marami ng senyales ng katapusan ng mundo, gaya ng sinabi ni Jesus sa Mateo 24 ng Bibliya? Ito ay ang balitang nagkaka-riot na naman sa Egipto, bunga ng pagsalakay laban sa mga Kristiyano doon, na nagdulot ng kamatayan sa 19 katao at nakasugat ng marami. Ayon kay Jesus, kamumuhian at sasalakayin ang Kanyang mga tagasunod sa mga huling araw.

SINO ANG MAHINA AT MANGMANG, PROF. WINNIE? Maaaring na-misquote lamang si dating Economic Planning Secretary Solita “Winnie” Monsod, pero nakakatakot namang sinasabi niya na ang dahilan kaya hindi man lamang nakakausad pa ang public-private-partnership flagship programs ng gobyernong Aquino ay dahil sa “kahinaan at kamang-mangan”. Sino kaya ang mahina at mangmang, Professor Winnie?

PAKIKIRAMAY: Nakikiramay po ako sa pamilya ni Gregorio “Ka Roger” Rosal, na namatay sa atake sa puso noong Junio 22, 2011. Sa kanyang katayuan bilang spokesman ng Communist Party of the Philippines, madalas akong mapaunlakan ng panayam ni Ka Roger noong nasa isang TV station pa ako, at masasabi kong tunay siyang isang higante sa karunungan ng kanyang organisasyon.

CAGAYAN DE ORO MURDER AT POLICE BRUTALITY: Oo nga at dapat ipagluksa ng Cagayan De Oro City ang kamatayan ni Police Officer 3 Marvin Nallano, pero hindi sapat na sampahan na lamang ng kasong murder ang umaming pumatay sa kanya, si Eduardo Ayento. Anumang imbestigasyon sa kaso ay kailangang sumilip din sa alegasyon ni Ayento na police brutality ang dahilan ng lahat---pinukpok diumano siya sa ulo ng rattan stick ng police officer.
