Franchise ng CNG bus, bukas na

Maari nang kumuha ng franchise ang mga operator ng provincial bus para sa compressed natural gas o CNG bus.

Ayon kay Transportation and Communications Secretary Jose P. De Jesus, bukas na ang tanggapan ng Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) para tumanggap ng aplikasyon.

Aniya, bukod sa malaking matitipid sa paggamit ng CNG, ito ay makatulong sa pangangalaga sa kalikasan dahil mababawasan ang pollution.

“CNG-fueled vehicles are environment-friendly, and compliant with the Philippine initiatives on the reduction of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, as well as help promote the use of alternative fuels in public transportation facilities. Hence, the DOTC promotes the use of this type of vehicles,” pahayag ni Secretary De Jesus.

Para sa mga nagnanais, magpakita lamang ng mga dokumento gaya ng garahe at lease contract ng off-street terminal sa magkabilang dulo ng ruta. Mac Cabreros
