Cagayanon losses car to carnappers at broad daylight in Shell gas station in Butuan City

BUTUAN CITY (PNA) - A Cagayan de Oro City resident who forgot to lock the doors of his driven silver colored Toyota Vios 2004 model car after loading gas fuel at Shell gasoline station located at busy J.C. Aquino Avenue cor. Ochoa Avenue losses it from car thieves past noon yesterday Friday.
The car’s driver Sonny Boy Neriquita Buar, 43, married and resident of PN Roa Subdivision, Cagayan de Oro City reported to Butuan City Police Office that he forgot to shut down the car’s engine and locked the doors of the car after he went to an ATM withdrawal booth located just across the Shell gasoline station.
He said he forgot to have money to pay the gasoline boy the reasoned why he went to the ATM booth of PSBank to withdraw cash but when he returned, his driven car was nowhere to be found.
Buar told Butuan City Police investigators that valuable items worth thousands of pesos were also inside the car like one unit CPU computer Pentium dual core card, assorted eye and ear medicines, account jackets of different clients, one bag with assorted clothing, coverage bag and other important documents
Butuan City Police initial investigation claimed the car was registered to certain Dr. Mario H. Cerilles also a Cagayan de Oro City resident. Buar was only driving the car the time it was carnapped on a business trip.
Police investigators said the car has plate number KCX-447, engine number INZ-X139513 and chassis number MR053HY42-04073943, model 2004.
In 2008, series of carnapping incidents hit Butuan City victimizing mostly single motorcycles and SUVs parked at Gaisano Mall located at J.C. Aquino Avenue.
Some were solved but others remained unsolved where stolen vehicles are nowhere to be found until now.
