Luisita problems and the Bible; climate change woes

LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it…” (Proverbs 22:6, the Holy Bible).

                    -ooo-

CARDINAL ROSALES RIGHT ABOUT BLAMING PARENT: I agree with Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales that parents are to blame if we get immoral people in government, especially those who do not know how to make upright and righteous decisions, according to what God requires.

As the Bible in Proverbs 22:6 says, the only way to bring up a child so he becomes righteous and upright later in life is to train him while he is young, at a time when is still totally dependent upon his parents.

                    -ooo-

BUT EVERYBODY IS TO BE BLAME: If the parents did not train the child in the way he should go, for whatever reason, the child would go wayward and grow up to become immoral and lacking in righteousness.

This is the reason why we have many in government who have no qualms about being corrupt and plunderous, and abusive in many things, and the reason why many people choose the corrupt and the plunderous and the abusive and elect them to positions.

HACIENDA LUISITA DISPUTE AND THE BIBLE: “A group of farmer-beneficiaries of Hacienda Luisita Inc. (HLI) asked the Supreme Court (SC) yesterday to stop the disputed sugar land estate owned by the family of President Aquino in Tarlac from proceeding with talks with a big Chinese firm for possible exportation of sugar cane,” reported the Philippine Star Tuesday, November 9, 2010.

I have bad news for the farmer-beneficiaries and their lawyers: most likely, the deal will push through despite their objections. I am not pre-empting the Supreme Court on this, but this prognosis of mine is based on the Bible.

Deuteronomy 28:15, 43-44, of the Bible says: “… if you do not obey the LORD your God (in) His commandments and His statutes with which I charge you today… all these curses will come upon you and overtake you…

“The alien who is among you shall rise above you higher and higher, but you will go down lower and lower. He shall lend to you, but you will not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you will be the tail.”

US SCIENTISTS CANNOT SOLVE GLOBAL WARMING: So US scientists are now raring to speak about climate change and global warming, now that party-mates of US President Obama lost in last week’s elections.  The question is: will they have the solution? Answer? No, they don’t, because they refuse to see the real cause of climate change and global warming.

Tweeters and Tweakers

President Benigno “P-Noy” Aquino III’s speechwriter -- or ghostwriter -- Assistant Secretary Carmen “Mai” Mislang, turns out to be a “tweetwriter” too.  Little did Mai realize that the tweets she posted on her Twitter account were accessible to everybody.  So when she tweeted her boss, Communications Secretary Ricky Carandang, her world turned upside down. Mai, mai, what happened?

It happened during P-Noy’s junk...

MEDITATIONS

By: Bobot Apit

Nov 8, 2010 - Monday Meditation (Grow in Faith!)
What appears impossible to human power is possible to those who believe in God's power. Faith is a gift freely given by God to help us know God personally, to understand his truth, and to live in the power of his love. God expects more from us than we can simply do by ourselves. That is why Jesus gives us the gift and power of the Holy Spirit who helps us to grow strong in  faith, persevere in hope, and endure in love. Faith in Go...
