Next Catholic Pope is a Filipino?

NEXT CATHOLIC POPE IS A FILIPINO? Filipinos who would like to see a Filipino pope of the Roman Catholic Church someday could very well start praying hard and aspiring to be holy and rabid followers of the Bible to make this dream come true, especially because there seems to be a movement now to project one Filipino priest to the plum Catholic post.
The priest, Imus, Cavite Bishop Luis Antonio Tagle, is still waiting to be installed, on orders of Pope Benedict XVI, as the next Manila archbishop, replacing Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales, but the influential CNN (or Cable News Network) is already rooting for him to become Pope, perhaps after Benedict XVI.
If this happens, this is not only history for Filipino Catholics but for the entire Filipino nation as well. It is also a proof that Filipinos have a special niche in propagating the Word of God. It would also confirm my belief that Filipinos, in reality, form part of the 12 tribes of Israel, God’s chosen people (standby for our next articles on this point).

IS MILF THE REAL CULPRIT? The headlines will not life, of course. I am referring to reports that eight more civilians and members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) have been killed by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) over the weekend, and one public school building was occupied by its elements who even stole two cows from residents of Olutanga Island, Zamboanga Sibugay for their food.
But then, something bothers me in all these reports. Except for the story from Olutanga Island, where reports directly imputed to MILF men the occupancy of the school, the other stories on additional killings of civilians and AFP soldiers were not really sure that it was the MILF who did it.
Why am I saying this? Because the reports were merely saying the perpetrators were “suspected” MILF members. Both the Inquirer and the Star issues of Monday, October 24, 2011, used the word “suspected” in describing the attackers. In journalistic parlance, “suspected” means exactly that---the attackers’ true identities are not known yet.
Now, if the true identities of the attackers are not really known yet, why say they could be MILF guerrillas? What is the real score here? What, really, is happening in Mindanao, General?

Paring Pinoy, susunod na Santo Papa?

PARING PINOY, SUSUNOD NA SANTO PAPA? Ang mga kababayan nating nagnanais makakita ng isang Pilipinong Santo Papa ng Simbahang Romano Katoliko ay nararapat ng manalangin ng puspusan at maging banal at tagasunod ng Bibliya upang makamtan ang pangarap na ito, lalo pa at mayroon ng mga kumikilos ngayon upang isulong ang pagiging Santo Papa ng isang paring Pilipino.
Ang pari ay si Imus, Cavite Bishop Luis Antonio Tagle, at bagamat naghihintay pa lamang siyang italaga, sa utos ni Pope Benedict XVI, bilang susunod na Manila archbishop upang palitan si Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales, itinataas na siya ng CNN (Cable News Network) upang maging Santo Papa, marahil pagkatapos ni Benedict XVI.
Kung ito ay magkakatotoo, hindi lamang ito kasaysayan para sa mga Pilipinong Katoliko kundi pati na rin para sa buong sambayanan. Pruweba din ito na ang mga Pilipino ay may espesyal na bahagi sa pagpapalaganap ng Salita ng Diyos. Pagpapatunay din ito ng aking paniniwala na ang mga Pilipino ay tunay na bahagi ng 12 tribo ng Israel, ang bayan ng Diyos (abangan po ninyo ang ating mga isusulat sa isyung ito).

ANG MILF NGA BA ANG TUNAY NA SALARIN? Nakakagimbal ang mga headlines, kasama na dito ang ulat na walo pang mga sibilyan at mga kasapi ng AFP ang napatay ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) noong nakaraang linggo, at isang pampublikong eskuwelahan sa Olutanga Island, Zamboanga Sibugay ang sinakop ng kanyang mga kasapi, kung saan nagnakaw pa diumano sila ng dalawang baka para kainin.
Pero, may bumabagabag sa akin sa mga ulat na ito. Maliban sa balita mula sa Oluntanga Island kung saan direktang iniugnay ang MILF sa pananakop sa eskuwelahan, ang iba pang mga balita ukol sa pagpatay ng mga sibilyan at mga sundalo ng AFP ay tila hindi sigurado na MILF nga ang may kagagawan.
Bakit ko sinasabi ito? Kasi, ayon sa mga ulat, mga “pinaghihinalaang” kasapi ng MILF ang mga salarin. Ang Inquirer at ang Star, sa kanilang mga isyu noong Lunes, Oktubre 24, 2011, ay gumamit din ng salitang “pinaghihinalaan” sa pagsasalarawan ng mga salarin. Sa media, ang salitang “pinaghihinalaan” ay ganoon nga ang ibig ipakahulugan---ang tunay na pagkatao ng mga salarin ay hindi pa nalalaman.
Ngayon, kung hindi pa beripikado ang tunay na pagkatao ng mga salarin, bakit sinasabing sila ay mga MILF guerillas? Ano ba ang katotohanan dito? Ano nga ba ang tunay na nangyayari sa Mindanao, General?

JESUS, DIYOS AT TAGAPAGLIGTAS, AYON SA AKLAT NG TITO SA BIBLIYA: Naririto pa ang ibang mga bahagi ng Bibliya na kumukumpirmang si Kristo Jesus ay Diyos at Tagapagligtas: Tito 2:11-14. Ganito ang isinasaad doon: “Sapagkat ang pagpapala ng Diyos ay dumating, at nag-aalay ng kaligtasan sa lahat.
