Formula for success for Pinoys

BY ATTY. BATAS MAURICIO

LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “…For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God…” (Hebrews 12:2, the Holy Bible).

-ooo-

PNOY’S POWER TO DISMISS DEPUTY OMBUDSMAN: Can President Aquino dismiss Deputy Ombudsman Emilio Gonzales III? Yes, the President can, under Section 8 (2) of Republic Act 6770, which is “An Act Providing for the Functional and Structural Organization of the Office of the Ombudsman and For Other Purposes.”

Section 8 (2) says: “Removal x x x A Deputy or the Special Prosecutor, may be removed from office by the President for any of the grounds provided for the removal of the Ombudsman, and after due process…”

-ooo-

FORMULA FOR SUCCESS FOR NATIVE PINOYS: Many of our countrymen who come to my office for free legal assistance have been raising a uniform complaint---they say Filipinos in their own country, especially the poor ones, have become second class citizens, subordinated to foreigners who are now lording it over in businesses and in politics.

Their question: can something still be done for Filipinos to reverse this sorry state? The answer is yes, something can still be done, but only if Filipinos realize the root cause why foreigners are now the ones enjoying the good life here.

Under Deuteronomy 28:15 and 43-44 of the Holy Bible, it is there stated that foreigners will become richer while the natives become poorer, foreigners will lend to the natives and will lead the natives even in politics, simply because the natives turned their backs on God, refusing to read His Word and obey His commands.

I am therefore calling on all Filipinos who want to reclaim the Philippines for themselves---on your own, regardless of your religion, start reading the Bible once again, and start following God’s commands once again, and see real change being given to you and to all of us by God.

-ooo-

BEARERS OF BAD OMEN: Presidential deputy spokesperson Abigail Valte has a good point in saying that all government officials and employees must also endeavor to tell the good news about the achievements of President Aquino’s government, except that, many of them, especially the lazy and the discourteous as well as the corrupt, carry the bad news instead.

-ooo-

SOURCE OF CORRUPTION IN LGUs: If we don’t watch out, the order of Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo for local government officials to carry out inspections of buildings and other structures as a precautionary measure against earthquake devastation can become another rich source of corruption for the unscrupulous. I guess inspections should be carried out by another team of government officials.

-ooo-

“FOES OF REFORM AGENDA”: I am sure many political critics and detractors of the Aquino government are having fear in their hearts now, especially because the President says these critics and detractors are nothing but “foes of reform agenda”, which was what former President Marcos called his own critics then. So, what else is new?

(Hebreo 12:2, Bibliya).

-ooo-

PNOY, MAY KARAPATANG PATALSIKIN ANG DEPUTY OMBUDSMAN: May kapangyarihan ba ang Pangulong Aquino na patalsikin si Deputy Ombudsman Emilio Gonzales III? Oo, mayroon, sa ilalim Section 8 (2) ng Republic Act 6770, o “An Act Providing for the Functional and Structural Organization of the Office of the Ombudsman and For Other Purposes.”

So, ano ang bago?

By: Bobot Apit
Apr 1, 2011 - Friday Meditation (Bow Down and Worship the LORD!)
Come to know who God is! Get in touch with his covenant love and faithfulness! See how deeply committed he is to you! If you can grasp this, you will almost naturally bow down in worship and put all your energy into loving God. And as you experience God’s love and mercy —as you get to know him as a friend—you can’t help but see how deeply God loves all his other children.
