Suntok sa buwan

          Bilyun-bilyong piso ang kakailanganin ng Department of Education (DepEd) para matupad ang adhikaing magkaroon ng computer laboratory na may internet connection ang lahat na paaralang elementarya.

          “Kung bibigyan nating ng tig-iisang computer at internet connection ang mahigit sa 38, 000 na public elementary schools, maaaring abutin sa P7.4 billion ang gagastusin,” amin ni Mr. Mari Paul Soriano, director ng DepEd-Technical Services.

          Binanggit ni Soriano na ang kanilang komputasyon ay batay sa halaga ng computer na mayroong pito hanggang labingisang PC terminal, interactive white board at printer.

          Idinagdag ni Soriano na ang proyekto ay alinsunod sa pagtugon sa education for all (EFA) goals pagdating ang 2015 na itinakda ng United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

          Naunang inihayag ni Education Secretary Armin Luistro na inaasahang makukumpleto nila sa buwan ng Hunyo ang pagkakaroon ng computer laboratory at internet connection sa lahat na 6,750 high school sa bansa.
