PLANONG TAAS PASAHE LRT AT MRT, IDUDULOG SA SC

 

Kung itutuloy ng pamunaun ng Ligth Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) na magtaas ng pasahe LRT at MRT  ay dudulog at magpapasaklolo naman ang isang grupo ng mga pasahero sa Korte Suprema para pigilan ito.

 

Ayon kay Elvira Rivera, pangulo ng National Council for Commuters Protection, kapag ipinilit ng LRTA ang kanilang plano ay hihilingin nila sa Supreme  Court ang pagpapalabas ng Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) na siyang pipigil fare hike.

 

Iginiit ni Rivera na sapat at marami silang hawak na ebidensiya na sobra-sobra ang kita ng LRT at MRT para tustusan ang pang-araw-araw ng operasyon nito.

 

Bukod umano sa kita sa pasahe mula sa mga commuters ay milyon-milyung piso rin ang pumapasok sa kaban ng LRT at MRT mula sa mga billboard o advertisement sa  loob at labas ng mga istasyon.

 

Maliban pa umano ang kita sa mga tindahan na nangungupahan sa ilalim ng LRT at MRT station.

 

Sinabi ni Rivera, na noong nakarang taon, ang naitalang gastos ng LRTA para sa operasyon, maintenance, at suweldo ng mga nagtatrabaho sa tren ay nasa P2.535 bilyon.

 

Nalikom naman mula sa mga ibinayad na pamasahe ng mamamayan ay P2.837 bilyon, na kung tutuwirin ay kumita ng mahigit sa P300 milyon ang LRTA, kaya walang dahilan para magtaas ng pamasahe.Mac Cabreros

          Handa ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) na magkaloob ng training sa mga umuwing overseas Filipino workers (OFW) gaya mula Egypt.

Number of flood-hit villages now 126

ROXAS City – The number of barangays affected by flashfloods in Capiz climbed to 126.

From these villages, there were 3,567 families displaced (for a total of 15,792 persons), said Jose Daradar, action officer of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC).
