LIFE’S INSPIRATIONS: “…But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash…” (Matthew 7:26-27, the Holy Bible).

PNOY OUSTER PLOTTED EVEN BEFORE HIS ELECTION? The revelations by former Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Oscar Cruz seem to confirm reports that even before President Aquino could be elected in May 2010, plans were already being hatched by people interested to become president to oust him later on grounds of incompetence and insanity. It is these plans that the President and Malacanang should be wary about, not the revelations of Cruz.

ROTARY TREE PLANTING GETS TRIPLE BOOST: The Rotary Club of Manila Circle under President Rolly Pagaspas scored a coup of sorts in its tree planting project at the Smokey Mountain in Tondo, Manila last week---not only were hundreds of tree seedlings planted, but the club also got a 1,000 euro donation from singer Mystica for the project, as well as a commitment from Mayor Alfredo Lim and District 3810 Gov. Tranquil Salvador that the seedlings will be cared for to ensure they become robust trees.

RAINS, FLOODS AND WINDS GETTING WORSE WORLDWIDE: Journalist Ben Serrano reported to me the other day that rains and floods and strong winds, apparently generated by a low pressure area, have been making life hard for many people in the Surigao provinces during the past several days.

If it is any consolation though, the same calamities are afflicting not many other countries as well, as an aftermath of the worsening global warming and climate change the world is going through.

REP. SINGSON’S ADMISSION OF GUILT: There are two sides to the coin that is the admission of guilt made by Ilocos Sur Rep. Ronald Singson before a Hong Kong court relative to the illegal drugs charges against him: first, the crime was committed outside of the Philippines. Second, the Philippines does not have jurisdiction over crimes committed outside its territory. Could Singson be liable for this crime here in the country?

(Mateo 7:26-27, Bibliya).
