Filipino Inventor tops Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry IP Awards

Let us all congratulate our very own Mr.Eraño M. Evangelista and the "Aero-Nox Nitrocharger" for winning the National IP Award for this year's AMY IP Awards held last Oct 15, 2010 (Friday) at the Manila Hotel. President Benigno C. Aquino III awarded the winners together with PCCI President Francis Chua and IPO Director General Ricardo Blancaflor.

This is one award we can truly be proud of. As President Aquino asked the spectators and media people, “Are we going to wait for this invention to go somewhere else and brought back to our country before we support and patronize it?”

One of the pressing concerns of humanity nowadays is the hazardous effect of environmental pollution, which includes, but not limited to, exhausts coming largely from diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the product of fossil fuel combustion. Even a relatively small increase in the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere might have the effect of causing long-term global warming—the heating of the earth atmosphere as a result of greenhouse effect—that could threaten most forms of life on the planet. Greater awareness of health and environmental hazards has created pressures for laws that control the amount of released pollutants; thus, the government has enacted the Clean Air Act.

Reduction of environmental pollutants is not just the government’s responsibility, but everybody’s. On our part, we have developed an alternative technology.

It is called, and registered, as AERO-NOX. AERO-NOX is an electronic device installed in a vehicle’s engine to transform nitrogen and oxygen present in the air into nitrous oxide (N20), which in turn, serves as a fuel additive in an internal combustion system. Nitrous oxide delivers more oxygen than atmospheric air by breaking down at elevated temperatures; thus, allowing the engine to burn more fuel and air, resulting to better combustion.

AERO-NOX, according to the Verification Statement released by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) after evaluating the said product and they have these on their findings:

1. Reduces exhaust emissions in vehicles;
2. Increases engine power; and
3. Reduces fuel consumption.

Similar beneficial effects have been echoed by numerous individuals who have tried and tested AERO-NOX.

With this kind of inventions, the Philippines is far from doom. Let’s just hope that the government will stay supportive to AERO-NOX, our hope for a cleaner air.
