“Araw ng Pagkilala” held in Aurora’s 32nd Foundation Anniversary

BALER, Aurora, February 15, 2011-Aurora 32nd Day Celebration 2011 “Araw ng Pagkilala” was held yesterday morning here at the provincial Capitol compound, Brgy. Suklayin led by Governor Bellaflor Angara-Castillo proclaiming the best among the rests the outstanding Aurorans and government agencies.

 

Results of the annual search for best performing individuals, best performing primary cooperatives, local government units and barangays were lauded by Angara-Castillo for their exemplary dedication to duty, saying that the annual search motivates them to excel in their own fields of endeavor.

 

Among the 62 operating cooperatives invited to join by Provincial cooperatives officer Guy Alipio A. Tuzon, the Aurora multi-purpose cooperative, Inc. was awarded 3rd place and received Php20,000, Saint Francis Development Cooperative was second place with Php30,000 while the lingap multi-purpose cooperative has the highest rating and received cash of Php50,000.

 

Tuzon said that the criteria were their compliance with administrative and legal requirements of Cooperative Development Authority, Bureau of Internal Rrevenue and LGU including organizas`xtion, leadership and management, business operations pertaining to financial soundness performance, efficiency, profitability, stability and liquidity, including their social responsibility. All the cooperatives which joined the search were given Php5,000 cash and plaque of recognition, while certificate of appreciation were given to the board of judges.

 

Winners of the search for the most child-friendly “sangguniang bayans” were given each a plaque of recognition and certificate of participation. Dinalungan hit 2nd runner up with cash prize of Php30,000, Maria Aurora placed 1st runner up with Php40,000 and Dipaculao held as the champion and received Php50,000 from the provincial government.

 

Barangay home based ECCD award recognition was given to Barangay Sto. Cristo, Maria Aurora with Php10,000 while the municipalities with outstanding ECCD implementation were Dinalungan and Dingalan which received Php15,000 and Maria Aurora town received Php20,000.

 

The said search started in 2007 tagged as Bella awardee as part of the culminating activity of Aurora Day foundation, then, it turned out to “Araw ng Pagkilala”. The first who received the award in the search for outstanding Aurorans were given to Senator Edgardo J. Angara, famous actor John Arcilla, known painter Jeho Bitancor and Dr. Epitacio Palispis, a famous educator. (Jason de Asis)
