200 assorted seedlings planted inside Ilagan, Isabela sanctuary

CAMP MELCHOR, Gamu, Isabela, February 5, 2011-A total of two hundred (200) seedlings of assorted fruit bearing trees were planted inside the sanctuary of Ilagan town with the full forces of the 5th Civil Military Operations Battalion of the Army’s 5th Infantry Division, 3rd Light Armor Battalion, the Department of Tourism and Local Government Unit (LGU) of the said place last Wednesday.

 

The tree planting activity was led by the Department of Tourism Tessie U Tabora and 5th Infantry Division spokesman Col. Loreto C. Magunadayao Jr. to promote tourism at Ilagan Sanctuary as one of the tourist spots in Isabela for green environment and to beautify the surroundings with assorted fruit bearing trees like carabao mango, santol, rambutan, cacao and jack fruit.
