Aurora broadcaster’s house bombed

CAMP RAVINA, Baler, Aurora November 18, 2010-Unidentified men tossed a bomb inside the residential compound of a veteran broadcaster here Wednesday night, causing a wide explosion that damaged the front door of the house, police said yesterday.
No one was reported hurt in the explosion which occurred at around 7 pm Wednesday at the house of Bernie Rada, correspondent of CLTV 36. Rada, 39, is also a commentator of local radio station “Radyo Natin” and a former president of the Aurora Press Club.
Senior Supt. Rosvi Manulid, provincial police director, said that prior to the explosion, a man was seen walking back and forth the front of his house. Minutes later, a loud explosion was heard and the unidentified man walked casually towards a motorcycle parked nearby and sped away.
Rada was in Manila at the time of the incident.
Rada’s wife, Rosalinda Pujeda-Rada said when the bomb exploded, she was inside one of the rooms in the house with daughter Beninay. Their son Jem-jem and Bren-bren were at the sala when the explosion was heard. (Jason de Asis)
